Transformer replacement with Advanced Audio large footprint BV08/6.5:1
This generates the warm low mids the U47 was famous for.
Stock tube circuit replaced by Advanced Audio custom designed 5654W circuit.
The Jan/GE5654W is a low voltage pentode like the VF14 tube found in an original U47.
By optimizing components the 5654W circuit give us the same measured results as the U47.
We also change the capsule to our AK47 like the 1959 K47 which had a brass surround.
Later capsules had nylon surrounds. We fit the capsule to the original U47 height.
